You Are

A Modern teenage Poem

by Hannah Rowley

You are the reason that I speak,
You are the reason that I seek.
You are the light,
The one and only star shining bright.
You are the clouds in the sky,
You are the sparkle in my eye.
You are the reason I laugh and cry,
Only you can decide when I die.
I cannot see you,
But somehow here and feel you.
You catch me when I am falling,
You are the reason I am not just crawling.
You are the trees,
The cure of disease.
Your stories make people believe,
You are the reason for the people.
You are life and death,
Love and hate,
The biggest debate.
You are them,
You are me,
The surrounds we live in.
You are everything.
You are known to man as God.
