When in my youth, my sin I learned,
It was then I came to Thee,
When my young heart for life had yearned,
Then I came to Thee.
Through the years, Thy grace has kept,
In my joys, and when I wept,
Never failing, in the depths,
Thou hast come to me.
When Thy Will, I longed to know,
It was then I came to thee.
When Thy Word I tried to sow,
Then I came to Thee.
It is Thy cross I gaze upon,
For Thou art God’s blessed Son,
In Thy death, my life was won,
Thou didst come for me.
As I journey on my way,
I will come to Thee.
Thou my strength from day to day,
I will come to Thee.
When life’s pathway here shall end,
On thy grace I’ll still depend,
With all my heart, my Saviour, Friend,
I will come to Thee.
