Art Gallery in a London Bus

One would not expect to find an old London bus in the beautiful grounds of a Yorkshire Country Home.

Then to discover the lovely old bus was being used as an ‘Art Gallery’ was even more delightful and surprising. Burton Agnes Hall was the setting for this eye catching gallery.

On show were pictures of local scenes in watercolours, and a number of acrylic and oils.

I found the local watercolours of great interest, having painted in the area a number of times over the years. Clifford and Shirley have a few of these paintings on the walls of their new home in the village of Burton Agnes. Below is one of those paintings.

Here is a photograph of a scene of the Yew tree lined entrance to the historic Church in the grounds of the ‘Hall’. The original watercolour I painted for them was without the large ginger cat shown here.

Enjoy your painting, you never know where your painting will end up, it may even be in a Red Bus Art Gallery in Yorkshire!
